5 August, 2016 –Washington Park at Riverwood developed by PAYCE Consolidated Limited, has been awarded a commendation from the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) NSW in the category of Masterplanned Communities at their annual awards for excellence.

Washington Park,  a public private partnership between Sydney-based property developer PAYCE and Housing NSW, captured the attention of the UDIA award judges for its strong sense of community and quality master-planned parklands.

Washington Park features four unique buildings, each with its own character, surrounded by extensive parklands, a market square and a community library.

Four sold out buildings, two of which are currently under construction, with the initial building completed for Housing NSW Seniors Living, in February 2104 and two buildings with private units completed in July 2015.

PAYCE has a reputation for transforming places and creating strong community interaction, Washington Park exemplifies this reputation.

Washington Park includes a market square retail precinct, community library and extensive parklands. The estate is frequented by residents and locals, as are an array of parks, walkways and cycleway throughout the development.

PAYCE has instigated a number of community initiatives including a Youth Jobs Program, Mathletics at the local Riverwood Primary School and a community run café.

When complete, Washington Park will be home to more than 2,000 residents in about 550 homes.
