Member for Parramatta Donna Davis has welcomed the NSW Government’s decision to give planning approval for the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 project.
The 2023-24 NSW Budget saw the NSW Government commit $200 million to expedite the project’s planning processes, so construction can begin in this term of Parliament.
The project will include a bridge over the Parramatta River delivering a vital connection between Melrose Park and the Parramatta CBD.
Ms Davis said the project was a game-changer for people living in suburbs on the new line from Parramatta to Sydney Olympic Park.
