Residents are not due to move in until next year, but already One Melrose at Melrose Park North has won an award.

The Allen Jack+Cottier designed buildings won gold in the Architecture, Proposed Large Site category of the Sydney Design Awards.

Stage One of Melrose Park North has already impressed architects.

One Melrose is the first stage of the Melrose Park North project on the corner of Wharf Road and Victoria Road at Melrose Park, near Parramatta in Sydney.

It is developed by PAYCE and its joint venture partner Sekisui House Australia and includes 277 apartments.

PAYCE Director Dominic Sullivan said the award recognised the work put into designing the striking buildings.

“These buildings will set the standard for the development with its curved forms blending seamlessly and smartly with the environment,” he said.

“The perfect balance of stunning design and natural beauty, One Melrose has raised the bar to create a new benchmark in living, inside and out.’’

Mr Sullivan thanked the project team, in particular the work of architects AJ+C.

Melrose Park North includes 1077 apartments, a supermarket, café and childcare.

Melrose Park stage three, known as the Pulse and Pavilion, will go to market later this year.
