After recent success, the Melrose Park shuttle bus service has extended its route to Meadowbank Ferry Wharf during peak times.

Since its introduction in early March, the hop-on, hop-off service has carried over two-thousand passengers and is now averaging three hundred a week.

The free service was introduced by property development company PAYCE to supplement existing transport links to support the local Melrose Park and Ryde community.

PAYCE Director, Dominic Sullivan said the extension has come in response to community feedback in order to reduce waiting times for connections.

“There are seven trips in the morning and seven in the afternoon, from approximately 6.30am to 9.30am in the mornings and 3.30pm to 6.30pm in the afternoon, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

“Copies of the new timetable have been handed to passengers and details are available at the bus shelter on Wharf Road,” Mr Sullivan said.

The bright green eco-friendly bus holds twenty-six passengers and features an ultra-low floor design with an easy accessible wheelchair ramp.

Melrose Park North is Sydney’s largest urban renewal project with the first residents set to move into their new homes late next year.
