Wentworth Point

Following Sydney’s bid for the 1996 Olympic Games, the company pursues the reclassification of the Homebush Bay peninsula for residential and mixed uses.

One of Sydney’s first comprehensive Master Plans is approved for the Homebush Bay peninsula in 1998.


Paynter Dixon Holdings Limited (previously Paynter & Dixon Holdings Ltd) merged with Pacific Assets Limited in 1988 and the merged entity was renamed PAYCE Consolidated Limited.

PAYCE Consolidated Limited successfully tendered for the acquisition of 45 hectares of peninsula waterfront land at Homebush Bay in December 1988 from the Maritime Services Board.


Internal reorganisation of Paynter Dixon Group resulted in the creation of Paynter & Dixon Holding Ltd in 1978 which was listed o the Stock Exchange in 1979.

1950 - 1970

Pioneered concept of the Design and Construct building contract. Successfully completed numerous commercial projects including Australia’s first leading shipping container terminal, as well as pioneering the design and construction of research laboratories, pharmaceutical warehouses, refrigerated transport and warehousing and the building of specialised docks and integrated weighbridges. Clients included Gillette, OPSM, Phillips, NRMA, TNT, Boral, CIG and Alcan.

1930 - 1949

Established a strong reputation as a creator of quality buildings with their skilled team of artisans, masons and joiners. Clients included Dunlop Rubber, Lifesavers, Cyclops, King Gee and Taubmans Paints.


Paynter Dixon designed and constructed almost all of Tooth’s Hotels which are almost all still operating today.
