PAYCE projects named as finalists in five categories of 2016 Property Council of Australia Innovation and Excellence Awards
Two of PAYCE’s highly successful projects, East Village in Zetland and Washington Park in Riverwood North, have been named finalists across five categories in this year’s prestigious Property Council of Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Awards.
The national awards program, now in its 34th year, celebrates Australia’s property development and investment industries.
According to the Property Council’s Chief Executive, Ken Morrison, the awards underscore the property industry’s enduring commitment to leading edge practices.
This year’s awards program has been narrowed down to 136 finalists in 18 categories, drawn from all states and territories.
East Village is a finalist in the following categories:
- Best Mixed Use Development
- Best Shopping Centre Development, and
- Best Sustainable Development – Existing Buildings.
Washington Park is a finalist in the following categories:
- Government Leadership, and
- Best Affordable Housing Development.
PAYCE’s Managing Director Brian Boyd said it was a wonderful achievement for both projects to be in the running for the mix of coveted awards.
“Both projects are the result of collaborative efforts by very dedicated and talented teams and showcase innovative design, sustainability and best practice in urban renewal,” he said.
“East Village has been acknowledged for having a marketplace environment like no other in the country, along with its ‘green’ credentials.
“Washington Park is a successful public-private partnership with Housing NSW and demonstrates how the Government and the private sector working together can revitalise an area and deliver positive outcomes for the government and the community.
“The Property Council of Australia Awards are among the most sought after in the industry and we look forward to the announcement of the national winners in June,” Brian Boyd said.
The winners will be announced at the Innovation and Excellence Gala Dinner Awards night at The Star Event Centre in Sydney on Friday, 3 June 2016.
All finalists are eligible for the industry’s most coveted prize – the Property Council of Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Development of the Year.
